Aftereffects of wisdom teeth extractions
It is common for patients to experience some discomfort in the initial days after the surgery. Mild pain, bleeding and swelling lasting one of two days will be expected.
Painkillers and other medication will be prescribed to help deal with pain and healing during this time. Most patients are able to resume with normal activities after one or two days.

However, patients are advised to refrain from smoking and drinking alcohol for the next week; it is also best to refrain from any strenuous exercise while the extraction site is still in the initial stages of healing.
