Kelly obtained her Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy from Nanyang Polytechnic in 2007. Upon graduation, Kelly served a three-year bond in School Dental Service, Health Promotion Board, as a Dental Therapist.

She enjoys treating children and believes in a tell-show-do approach in managing kids with dental phobia.

Since then, Kelly has moved on to work in the private sector for the past ten years where she provides scaling, polishing and gum treatment services to adult patients as a Dental Hygienist. She focuses heavily on patient education, dishing out oral hygiene advice which goes in tandem with professional scaling and polishing.

Dr Loy graduated from the university of Adelaide in 2006 and has a special interest in dental implantology and dental anxiety management.

He has completed the comprehensive implantology program with the Institute of Advanced Dental Education & Training and is also a Key Opinion Leader for Dentium Implants.

He enjoys the dynamic changing implant developments  and constantly updates himself by travelling overseas for courses. He was awarded fellowship of the International Congress of Oral Implantologist and is a member of the Australian society of Implant Dentistry.

Aftereffects of wisdom teeth extractions

It is common for patients to experience some discomfort in the initial days after the surgery. Mild pain, bleeding and swelling lasting one of two days will be expected.

Painkillers and other medication will be prescribed to help deal with pain and healing during this time. Most patients are able to resume with normal activities after one or two days.

However, patients are advised to refrain from smoking and drinking alcohol for the next week; it is also best to refrain from any strenuous exercise while the extraction site is still in the initial stages of healing.
